Training
Now we are already one month in to 2010 and a new decade. I feel as committed as ever to the use, development and teaching of Narrative Approaches. I have had some enquiries about training and am interested in knowing what potential learners are most interested in exploring. Please continue to let me know if you are interested as I am in conversation with a couple of colleagues to see if we can combine our efforts to offer a more comprehensive programme for exploring Narrative Ideas.
Please contact Marilyn for more information as per the contact details on this website

Jane Hutton in Queensland and David Newman who is back in Sydney are hosting Walter Bera for some Narrative training in March. Contact details for them both are on the Related Information Links page.
Dulwich centre has a great programme at the Summer School in Adelaide the first week in March. This is also available via the link to their web page.
PS. The summer school has been and done. I really enjoyed working with Jane Hutton sharing some narrative perspectives on working in mental health settings and on dealing with the experience of anxiety and depression. Jane’s work on Bullying in schools was inspiring to listen to again and I am thinking if there is interest we should invite her to Sydney later in the year to share these ideas?
Apart from the training that I hope to schedule in Sydney this year I will be doing a small presentation at the Reconexion conference in Melbourne in May and teaching for a week to ten days in Newcastle UK with Liz Todd at Newcastle University in October. (more about that later).
In November we have the good fortune to have Jill Freedman visiting and I will join her in the exploration of advanced narrative practice in a workshop in Sydney.
Anyone keen to get started in training, feeling stuck and not able to access the training or support that they want can phone or Contact Marilyn to discuss individual or small group training. This is a great way to get the basics of Narrative practice related particularly to your own workplace.
