Narrative ways to research

Facilitator: Mary Denise Holmes Date: 6th November

Venue: to be confirmed but in northern Sydney This workshop will focus on narrative ways to research as a therapeutic tool, as a way of making narrative ideas sustainable and as a means of accountability. In these times there are more than ever requirements on those who work from a narrative perspective to be visible in their accountability. The recent sad loss of Michael White's direct contribution to the field also begs the question of how we ensure that narrative ways of working continue to develop and grow in acceptance. Mary Denise offers her experience in working “for community” as both a therapist and researcher. She will introduce us to narrative enquiry as a useful and ethical way of us gathering evidence of what works and what matters in counselling and community work.
